Confocal systems

A confocal laser scanning microscope scans a sample sequentially point by point and line by line to create an image. The pixel information is combined to form an image. In this way, optical sections of the sample are mapped with high contrast and high resolution in the x, y and z directions. The LSM 9 family with optional GaAsP detection and Airyscan offers superior image quality at highest sensitivity for quantitative imaging in life sciences. Use LSM 900 for Materials for sophisticated topographic analysis on material surfaces.
